Airline miles as cheap as .0007?

Lifemiles, the frequent flyer program for Avianca&Aerogal (offers star alliance redemptions) currently offers a promotion where you can earn up to 20,000 lifemiles for 10 hotel stay  “challenges” booked through their portals. You have to sign up for it with your lifemiles account HERE by the end of tonight- July 31, 2017. You progressively earn miles for completed stays. Interestingly, as you can see in the picture below, they list the booking.com lifemiles portal as a partner you can earn with. The other portals such as rocketmiles often have high minimum prices, but this portal has A TON of cheap hotel rooms/hostels around the world as cheap as $1/night (credit cheapesthotelintheworld.com) plus tax as it appears to draw on booking.com’s usual inventory. As far as we can see the T&C do not list any minimum spend. It is possible we are missing something due to the language barrier, but definitely worth signing up for and investigating. As always please do your own due diligence. If it is as stated many areas of the world have rooms cheap enough to make this lucrative. Please let us know your experiences. Lifemiles has been great about honoring promotions in the past.
